Against the backdrop of rapid development in high-power energy storage, high-voltage battery platforms have become the mainstream technology route thanks to their lower system costs. Among them, outdoor power supplies above 2kW mostly use 12–16 series lithium battery packs, with voltages typically exceeding 50V. Conventional boost/buck controllers are hard to adapt and can’t achieve bidirectional fast charging. To tackle this issue, PowerPi has officially launched the Nanxin SC8808 bidirectional synchronous boost/buck development board, offering a one-stop hardware platform for R&D, production testing, and solution validation.

This development board is designed around the Southchip SC8808 controller, supporting a wide input/output voltage range of 4.5–80V. It’s compatible with 16-series lithium-ion batteries, 18-series lithium iron phosphate batteries, and lead-acid batteries, perfectly covering the voltage needs of kilowatt-level outdoor power supplies. The product has built-in battery charging and MPPT functions, greatly simplifying the development of high-voltage energy storage systems. It also supports the PD3.1 fast-charging protocol, enabling 48V, 240W bidirectional charging and discharging, suitable for various high-power fast-charging scenarios.

The board measures 126.1×99.2×24mm, weighs about 155g, and comes with screw terminals for secure connections and easy operation. It can be widely used in high-power outdoor power supplies, solar charging MPPT technology, fast-charging adapters, and DIY debugging. It supports full-process use for R&D, debugging, production line testing, and after-sales validation.
