Preface
Since its official announcement to start R&D, the PowerPi X240C 240W single-port high-power fast charging module has attracted the attention of many industry users and enthusiasts. Currently, this brand new high-power fast charging module has successfully produced engineering samples and completed the first round of PD3.1 48V 5A 240W load tests.

The engineering prototype is shown in the picture and features a DC input with a single Type-C output.

After powering it on, using POWER-Z KM003C to read the protocol, the PowerPi X240C was tested to be compatible with mainstream fast charging protocols such as QC3.0, FCP, SCP, PD3.1, PD3.2, AVS, PPS, QC5, DCP, Apple 2.4A, etc.

To meet the diverse power supply needs of high-power devices today, PowerPi optimized compatibility in the X240C design.
PDO settings show the USB-C port of the prototype supports seven fixed voltages: 5V/9V/15V/20V/28V/36V/48V, one PPS voltage range of 5.0-21.0V/5.0A, and two AVS adaptive voltage ranges: 9-20V 3.00A, 5.00A and 15-48V 240W. Both fixed and adaptive profiles support up to 240W output.

In the simulated 240W load test, we used the POWER-Z P240 multi-protocol bidirectional power supply to provide stable power to the PowerPi X240C. The actual input power of the PowerPi X240C was 48V 5.12A 245.80W.

The output of the PowerPi X240C was monitored using the POWER-Z KM003C for PD protocol triggering and power measurement. After triggering the PD protocol and selecting the 48V profile for testing, the actual output of the PowerPi X240C was stable at 47.69V 5.01A 239.2W, showing that this prototype can deliver 240W of power through a single port.
Summary
From the first round of full-load test data, it’s clear that the PowerPi X240C maintains excellent voltage drop control under a 240W maximum load. Its power output is stable, losses are extremely low, and overall performance is mature and reliable, fully meeting the continuous full-load power supply needs of high-power devices like mobile power stations, high-performance gaming laptops, and AI mini workstations.
